The short version

The names you enter never leave your device. This site does not have accounts and does not ask for personal details.

Names and settings

The list of names, race length, number of winners and sound preference are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device so they are still there next time you visit. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. Pressing Clear list, or clearing your browser data, deletes them.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver the page (such as your IP address) and may keep short-lived logs for security and performance. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.

Analytics

We do not currently run any analytics scripts. If we add privacy-preserving, cookie-free analytics in future, this page will be updated.

Advertising

The site currently shows no advertising. If we introduce adverts (for example through Google AdSense), visitors in the UK and European Economic Area will be shown a consent banner before any advertising cookies are set, in line with UK GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, and this policy will be updated to describe the cookies used.

Children

The tool is intended for adults — teachers, hosts and organisers — to use in front of a group. It does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
